Medication Policy
This policy is a result of a revision of the Colorado Pharmacy Act. Prescription medication may no longer be given at school without a written order from the child's doctor. The order must state the name of the medication, the amount of medication and when it is to be given. The parents must also write a note giving their permission for the medication to be given at school. The medication must be sent to school in the original bottle. Over-the-counter or non-prescription medication may still be given at school with a note from the parent which states the name of the medication, the amount to be given and the time it is to be given. All non-prescription medication must come to school in the original container.
